Amazon: Korean Air opts for AWS
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon Web Services (AWS, a subsidiary of the Amazon group), today announces that Korean Air Lines will transfer its infrastructure to AWS.
Korean Air plans to use Amazon Simple Storage Services (Amazon S3) and AWS' data analysis and storage services.
This is the second major contract announced by AWS this Tuesday: Earlier, the company announced that Amgen was transferring the vast majority of its cloud infrastructure, "to accelerate innovation, generate efficiencies costs and release new data glimpses to help make new treatments."
