Amazon: launches personal assistants in France
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon has announced the launch of Alexa in France, the personal assistant that powers the Echo range of devices, including Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Spot.
Group customers can already pre-order these devices on the Amazon site. Echo and Echo Dot will be shipped as from 13 June, and Echo Spot deliveries will follow next month.
Amazon will hence join Google in the market for personal assistants in France, ahead of Apple, which will offer the HomePod, using Siri, from 18 June. Like its competitors, the Echo range will enable its users to listen to music, obtain information about the weather, nearby shops and listen to news etc.
