Amazon: plans to open new center in Georgia.
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon announces plans to create a new logistics center in Macon, in the heart of Georgia, which will create over 500 full-time jobs.
The online retail giant already operates three centers in the Southeastern US state in Braselton, Lithia Springs and Union City, which currently employ over 2,000 full-time employees.
The employees of this new site, which has a surface area of about 93,000 m2, will pick, pack and ship large items, such as furniture, sports equipment and gardening tools.
