Amazon: wants to develop in the Middle East.
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon announced today that it wants to open an infrastructure in the Middle East at the beginning of 2019.
The group wants to create three zones at launch in the Middle East (Bahrain).
The group wants to launch an AWS Edge Network site in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the first quarter of 2018. Amazon currently has 78 Amazon Web Services (AWS) locations worldwide.
"As countries in the Middle East look to transform their economies for generations to come, technology will play a major role, and the cloud will be in the middle of that transformation," said Andy Jassy, CEO, Amazon Web Services, Inc.
