com has just won broadcasting rights for the ATP (tennis) circuit in the UK, having beaten Sky at the post.
To do this, Amazon Prime Video offered 10 million pounds p.a., which is 2 million more than Sky's offer.
The new contract lasts until 2018 and in a way confirms the group making inroads into the domain of sports broadcasting. Indeed, in April this year, Amazon already won online broadcasting rights of Thursday Night Football (American football).
