Airbus: Credit Suisse reduces its target but remains a buyer
(CercleFinance.com) - There continue to be “reasons to be optimistic”, indicated Credit Suisse this morning, confirming the “outperform” rating, albeit reducing the target price from 100 to 93 euros.
Credit Suisse underlines that the operating profits of the main division of Airbus (commercial aircraft) missed the mark by 9% in terms of consensus expectations in the 2nd quarter, and Airbus Group's came out 3% under expectations. As a result, the analysts have capped their results forecasts, and showed more cautiousness on the A320neo and A380 programmes.
Despite this “the A350 is no longer faced with the delays linked to suppliers”, and should therefore attain financial stability in 2019, after having generated a loss of 1.3 billion in 2016, underlines a note.
