(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon's own shopping holiday, Prime Day, was the biggest day ever in the company's history, even surpassing Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the online retail giant said on Wednesday.
Without providing specific numbers, Amazon said tens of millions of Prime members made purchases yesterday, more than 50% higher than the previous year.
Amazon's voice-controlled device Echo Dot was not only the best-selling Amazon device this Prime Day, but also the best-selling product from any manufacturer in any category across Amazon globally, the retailer said.
Top sellers from France and Belgium were the PlayStation Plus Membership and Game of Thrones' complete season 1 to 6 blu-ray setbox.
