Alphabet: Google buys MicroLED specialist
(CercleFinance.com) - Google announced on Wednesday evening that it has bought Raxium, a specialist in MicroLED technologies, a deal that will enable the Internet giant to develop next-generation displays.
The main subsidiary of Alphabet explains that Raxium's teams have spent nearly five years designing a high-resolution miniaturisation technology that is both economically and energy efficient.
Raxium's technical expertise in this area will play a key role in our continued investment in digital hardware, Google said.
