Alphabet: E150m fine from French competition authority
(CercleFinance.com) - The French Competition Authority announces that it has fined Google, subsidiary of Alphabet, 150 million euros.
It also demands that Google clarifies the drafting of the operating rules of Google Ads, as well as the procedure for suspending accounts.
Google has abused its dominant position in the search related advertising market by adopting opaque and difficult to understand operating rules for its Google Ads advertising platform, while applying them in an unfair and random way, the Competition Authority said.
