Alphabet: agreement between Google and HTC.
(CercleFinance.com) - Google has announced a final agreement with HTC, whereby some of HTC's employees - some of whom are already working with Google to develop Pixel smartphones - will join the main subsidiary of the technology giant Alphabet.
In addition, this Taiwanese company, with which Google has been working with for a decade now, will provide Google with a non-exclusive license for its intellectual property - for the development of upmarket smartphones.
HTC will receive 1.1 billion dollars in cash from Google as part of this transaction, which remains subject to the usual regulatory conditions and authorizations and which is expected to be completed in early 2018.
