AAA: soars after potential interest from Novartis.

(CercleFinance.com) - According to Bloomberg, and in order to boost its growth, Novartis has its eye on Advanced Accelerator Applications (AAA), a French radiopharmaceutical company that is specialised in molecular nuclear medicine.

In 2016, AAA raised 172.2 million dollars on the Nasdaq, where its American Depository Receipt (ADR) soared by almost 10% in trading to 65.5 dollars. Also listed in Germany, the AAA share is currently up 17% to 58.3 euros, giving the company a total valuation of 2.5 billion euros.

Bloomberg understands that the Swiss pharma giant Novartis is considering submitting an offer for AAA, and would have already approached the group about this. However, Bloomberg adds that other candidates could be interested as well. In any case, for the time being, no agreement has yet been signed.
