AMD: EPYC processor to power new HPE server
(CercleFinance.com) - Advanced Micro Devices said on Wednesday that the new Hewlett Packard Enterprise ProLiant DL325 Gen10 server will be powered by its AMD EPYC 7000 series processor.
With a higher core count and memory bandwidth per processor, the new HPE server is intended for virtualization, hosting and software-defined storage applications.
AMD said its processors offer up to 33% greater memory bandwidth than Intel's Xeon Platinum.
The HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 will be available as from July.
