AT&T: multi-year retransmission deal with Nexstar
(CercleFinance.com) - AT&T said that it has signed a multi-year retransmission deal with Nexstar to air the US TV channel operator's local stations.
The agreement will provide Nexstar-owned network affiliated and local broadcast stations to customers of AT&T's video platforms in 97 markets across the United States.
This means that Nexstar local stations are now returning to the previously impacted DirecTV, AT&T TV and U-verse platforms.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
AT&T also announced on Thursday that it has reached three tentative agreements with the Communications Workers of America (CWA) union, covering cover about 20,000 employees in nine states of the Southeast Region.
