AT&T: Warner's 'The Meg' rules world box office

' shark thriller "The Meg" starring Jason Statham has stormed the international box office, with higher-than-expected 44.5 million dollars takings this weekend for its North American debut.
The movie raked in 96.8 million dollars in 42 international territories, bringing in 141.3 million dollars for its global weekend debut, audience company comScore said on Monday.
Since 14 June and the completion of the merger between AT&T and Time Warner, the Warner Bros studio belongs to the former US telephone monopoly.
