AT&T: takes over AlienVault
(CercleFinance.com) - AT&T today announces an agreement to acquire AlienVault, a San Mateo, California-based, unlisted company, which will expand its enterprise-grade security solutions portfolio and offerings to millions of small and medium-sized businesses.
"According to a 2017 study conducted by the Ponemon Institute, more than 61 percent of small and medium-sized businesses have been breached in the last 12 months, up from 55 percent in 2016," the US telecommunications giant stated.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is not expected to have a material effect on AT&T's results. It should be finalised in the current quarter, subject to usual conditions.
