Broadcom: redomiciliation to the US now effective
(CercleFinance.com) - As the mobile chipmaker promised during its battle to takeover rival Qualcomm, Broadcom has completed its re-domiciliation from a Singapore-based company to a US company.
The re-domiciliation was approved by shareholders at a special meeting at the end of March and was then confirmed by the Singapore High Court on 2 April, with this effective as from 4 April, the group said.
Broadcom - which says it has been an "American company in every respect" apart from its legal domiciliation - said that its existing co-headquarters in San Jose, California will now become the company's sole headquarters.
