Assa Abloy: acquisition of UK's Arran Isle
(CercleFinance.com) - Sweden's Assa Abloy announced on Monday that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire the British window and door manufacturer Arran Isle.
In a statement, the world's leading lock maker said that the deal was a "strategic" acquisition, adding complementary products and services to its core business.
Established in 1971, Arran Isle currently employs 560 people across sites in the UK, Ireland, continental Europe and China.
Its sales reached around 100 million pounds (120 million euros) last year.
The acquisition - which is expected to close by the end of the year - is expected to be accretive on completion.
