Assa Abloy: acquires UK-based Dale & Excel
(CercleFinance.com) - Just a few days after acquiring Sweden's Phoniro, Assa Abloy said on Monday that it has bought Dale & Excel, a UK-based supplier of architectural hardware for builder merchants.
The Swedish lock maker said Dale & Excel's portfolio of high-quality products will complement and extend its offering in the UK and Middle East markets.
Dale was established in 1974 and has its headquarters near Leeds. The business has approximately 70 employees. Sales for 2018 are expected to reach around 19 million pounds (around 21 million euros), with a "good" EBIT margin, the company said.
Assa Abloy said that the acquisition will have an accretive effect on EPS from the start.
