SAS: most of traffic now halted, cuts workforce
(CercleFinance.com) - Scandinavian airline SAS said it has decided to temporarily halt most of its traffic, starting today, as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
Saying that demand for international air travel has become "essentially non-existent," the group plans to cut temporary work, which represents up to 10,000 employees, i.e. 90% of the total workforce.
