SAS: passenger traffic up 3.4% in February

(CercleFinance.com) - Scandinavian airline SAS said on Friday that its passenger traffic rose 3.
4% year-on-year in February, with the coronavirus outbreak having had a "limited impact" on its numbers.

Total capacity increased by 1.4%, while traffic expressed in terms of revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) rose by 0.5%, the group said.

SAS said in a statement that its load factor fell by 0.7% to 65.3%.

Due to the outbreak, SAS said it has noted "reduced demand" and has cut its route network and capacity accordingly, with flights to and from China, Northern Italy and Hong Kong now suspended.
