Alfa Laval: completes acquisition of BunkerMetric
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Alfa Laval announced that it has completed the acquisition of BunkerMetric, a Danish developer of software for oil tankers.
The Swedish engineering group says that it will now integrate BunkerMetric's tools - including algorithms that enable shipping operators to calculate the best route for their cargo - into its StormGeo suite of weather forecasting services.
The financial terms of the deal, which was made official last month, have yet to be disclosed.
Alfa Laval, which employs some 17,900 people, generated sales of around 40.9 billion Swedish kronor (about 4 billion euros) last year.
