Alfa Laval: buys heat exchanger technology from Airec
(CercleFinance.com) - Sweden's Alfa Laval has signed an agreement to acquire certain heat exchanger technologies from fellow engineering firm Airec.
The move comes a week after Alfa Laval sold its commercial/industrial air heat exchanger business to Italy's LU-VE Group.
The acquired technology represents "untapped opportunities" for simple asymmetrical heat exchangers, the group said, for example handling gas temperatures at very high levels in boilers and water heaters.
The deal is expected to be closed in early January 2019.
