Telia: refuses comment on Bonnier speculation
(CercleFinance.com) - Telia has refused to comment on media speculation that it offered concessions as part of the European Commission's investigation into the acquisition of Bonnier, one of the Nordic region's largest TV companies.
The Swedish telecom group said that the EU's investigation is still ongoing, and that it is working "closely and constructively" with the Commission.
Telia said it remains confident and will continue the dialogue, but cannot make any further comment on the process until it has been formally notified of a final decision.
The Commission has until 19 November to decide on the merger.
Bonnier includes the TV ad businesses of TV4 Group (Sweden) and MTV (Finland), as well as streaming and pay TV service C More (Sweden and Finland).
