Ericsson: successful autonomous robot trial with Turkcell
(CercleFinance.com) - Ericsson announces that it has successfully completed the first industrial use case demonstration of the Safe Crossing autonomous mobile robot (AMR) in Turkey with Turkcell.
The demonstration was carried out using both network slicing from a public network (dual mode 5G Core Standalone) and the Ericsson Private 5G network using autonomous 5G technology.
The robot was equipped with an industrial modem with 5G SA connection technology as well as a safety laser scanner that uses AI to detect blind spots on the route and detect objects that would hinder or slow down the robot's operation.
