Ericsson: extends service deal with Australia's NBN.
(CercleFinance.com) - Australia's broadband access network NBN will continue its fixed wireless and satellite operational services deal with Ericsson through to 2020, the Swedish company said on Tuesday.
Ericsson will continue to be responsible for nbn fixed wireless network operations, as well as for ground systems operations for Sky Muster, the operator's satellite service, the company said.
NBN's fixed wireless and Sky Muster services cover over 980,000 homes in regional and remote Australia, with more than 290,000 homes having broadband connections.
Ericsson has been NBN's managed services provider since 2011.
