Ericsson: Belgium's Leten proposed as board chairman.

(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish mobile telecom component maker Ericsson said on Monday that its board would propose Belgium's Ronnie Leten as its new chairman.

The firm's nomination committee believes that Ronnie Leten is "the right person" to assume the position, having a "very strong track record when it comes to value creation," the company said.

For the record, Leten has been the CEO of Swedish mining equipment maker Atlas Copco between 2009 and 2017 and is currently a board member in Swedish industrial bearings group SKF, as well as the chairman of Electrolux's board.

Ericsson's current chairman, Leif Johansson, previously said that he will not stand for reelection at the 2018 annual general meeting.
