Ericsson: wins network deal with Spain's MasMovil.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ericsson has said that it has been selected by MasMovil, Spain's fourth-largest mobile operator, to provide a wide range of network solutions and services.
The deal includes core network evolution based on virtualisation (NFV), enterprise billing, managed and systems support services, and deployment of fiber to the home (FTTH).
Through this agreement, MasMovil subscribers will gain access to an improved consolidated network and new services, such as Voice over LTE, Wi-Fi calling and fixed VoIP for residential and corporate use.
MasMovil has extended its existing managed and systems support services contracts until the end of 2019, and has the option to extend the contract's scope to include its fixed network.
