Electrolux: builds vacuum cleaner from recycled materials
(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish appliance maker Electrolux said on Thursday that it has developed a vacuum cleaner that is 100% made of recycled and reused materials.
Together with Swedish greentech firm Stena Recycling, Electrolux has built a prototype that uses plastic and components originating from consumers electronic products, such as used hairdryers and computers, the group said.
Electrolux has set itself the target that all its products will contain at least 50% of recycled materials by 2030.
