Equinor: awards $56m drilling contract to COSL
(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor today announced that it has awarded a contract to drill four wells on the Statfjord Øst field in the North Sea to COSL Offshore Management AS, which will operate with the COSLPromoter rig from the spring of 2023.
The contract is estimated to be worth approximately 56 million dollars for the fixed part of the contract, which will last an estimated 220 days.
In addition to drilling, the contract also includes fuel, wastewater treatment, cuttings management and upgrading the rig with an automatic drilling control system.
Additional services include casing operation, remotely operated vehicle (ROV), mobilisation and demobilisation are estimated to cost approximately 4 million dollars.
