Equinor: warns of effects of potential strike
(CercleFinance.com) - A potential strike could affect Equinor's fields in the Norwegian continental shelf if a round of wage talks fails, the oil company warned on Monday.
As discussions are taking place today between Norway's Safe labour union and the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association, the union has already announced that its members could go on strike at the Mongstad terminal in case the talks fail.
A potential strike could reduce crude storage and harbour capacity at the refinery, in turn affecting the production at several Equinor operated fields on the Norwegian continental shelf, such as giant Johan Sverdrup oil field, the company said in a statement.
