Equinor: makes final investment decision on Siberian project
(CercleFinance.com) - Norway's Equinor and its Russian partner Rosneft have made a final investment decision for a conventional onshore oil and gas field located in Western Siberia, the companies said late on Monday.
The North Komsomolskoye project is part of the strategic cooperation agreement signed by the two energy heavyweights back in 2012.
Total recoverable volumes for stage one are estimated at 250 million barrels of oil and 23 billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas.
Equinor holds a 33.3% stake and Rosneft owns 66.7% of the joint venture company that owns the license for the field.
