Equinor: new discovery on Norwegian continental shelf
(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor and partners, including US giant ExxonMobil, have made a new oil and gas discovery in the North Sea, with recoverable resources estimated at 38-100 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe).
The Norwegian oil group said that the discovery, which is one of the biggest this year, was made in the most mature area of the Norwegian continental shelf.
Equinor holds 45% of the production licence, while ExxonMobil owns 25% of the project.
