Equinor: deal with YPF to explore offshore Argentina
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Equinor announced an agreement with YPF on an exploration prospect operated by the Argentine public oil group, offshore of northern Argentina.
Under the terms of the agreement, YPF will sell 50% of the CAN 100 project to the Norwegian energy company; a block of 15,000 km2 that YPF acquired in May.
Equinor and YPF are already partners in two offshore exploration blocks in the north of Argentina.
