Equinor: new LPG terminal in Malaysia

(CercleFinance.com) - Norway's Equinor has entered into a long-term agreement with Singapore-based logistics provider Global Petro Storage for a liquified petroleum gas (LPG) storage terminal in Malaysia.

Under the terms of the deal, Global Petro Storage will build a new facility in Port Klang, with operations set to begin in mid-2021.

With the new terminal, Equinor aims to capture a larger share of the LPG market in South-East Asia, the Norwegian company said.

Equinor will provide the terminal with LPG and sell into the domestic market in Malaysia, as well as other markets like Bangladesh, the Philippines, India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
