Statoil: change name to Equinor effective 16 May
(CercleFinance.com) - Norwegian oil firm Statoil is due to rename itself Equinor on 16 May, after shareholders vote on this proposal on 15 May, the company said on Monday.
This means that 15 May will be the last trading day on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker "STL". As from 16 May, the company's shares will be traded under the new ticker "EQNR".
The new ticker "EQNR" will also be used for Statoil's American Deposit Rights (ADRs) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
