Statoil: wins exploration licence onshore Argentina.
(CercleFinance.com) - Statoil has been awarded a license for oil exploration in North Argentina as part of a bidding round, the Norwegian company said on Thursday.
Statoil will operate the Bajo del Toro Este license with a 90% working interest, with Gas y Petróleo del Neuquén (GyP) retaining a 10% interest.
Statoil and Argentina's energy company YPF entered a preliminary agreement to jointly explore the Bajo del Toro region in August 2017.
