Statoil: oil discovery on UK continental shelf.
(CercleFinance.com) - Statoil and its partners have made an oil discovery on the UK continental shelf, proving a minimum of 25 million recoverable barrels of oil in the well's vicinity, the Norwegian oil firm said on Monday.
The preliminary results suggest the discovery could be anywhere between 25 and 130 million barrels of oil, Statoil said in a statement.
