Norsk Hydro: completes acquisition in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - Norwegian aluminium producer Norsk Hydro said on Tuesday it had completed the 10 million euro acquisition of Arconic's extrusion plants in Brazil, strengthening its downstream position in the country.
Both extrusion plants are located in southern Brazil and have over 600 employees in all, along with one casthouse, and seven extrusion presses, which range from 7 to 14 inches.
The group also announced over the weekend that all employees in Norway have been offered to purchase shares with a 50% discount. For participating employees, the share price will be set at 28.20 Norwegian kronor per share, for 443 shares.
