Stellantis: contributes to automated driving projects
(CercleFinance.com) - Stellantis has presented its contributions to L3Pilot, an automated driving project that has involved a global ecosystem of 34 suppliers, research institutes, road authorities, OEMs and car makers.
The L3Pilot project focuses on the testing and validation of autonomous driving as a safe and efficient means of transport. As part of this, the company has deployed a fleet of 16 prototypes covering a wide range of situations, including parking, changing lanes on the motorway, crossing intersections in the city or driving in traffic jams.
Building on the results of this project, Stellantis announces that it will continue to contribute to joint efforts on a large scale with the next EU co-funded project, Hi-Drive.
Over the next four years (2021-2025), the Hi-Drive project will address a number of key challenges relating to the deployment of higher levels of automated driving.
