ING: new chairman of supervisory board

(CercleFinance.com) - The Dutch bank ING today announced that Karl Guha will be proposed for appointment to the supervisory board at its general meeting on 24 April, with the board intending to elect him as chairman as from 1 July.


He will then succeed Hans Wijers, who will leave the supervisory board on that date, as announced on 2 February. The proposed appointment of Karl Guha to the supervisory board has been approved by the European Central Bank.

Karl Guha has over 30 years of experience working for banks such as ABN Amro, Unicredit and Van Lanschot Kempen. He is currently a non-executive director at SHV Holdings and a senior advisor at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey.
