Ahold Delhaize: continues to expand in Belgium
(CercleFinance.com) - Ahold Delhaize has unveiled a new brand strategy for Belgium, in a move intended to improve its omni-channel offer and accelerate growth in the country.
The Dutch-based retailer said its Delhaize Le Lion chain will open around 100 new supermarkets in the next three-to-four years, while starting a collaboration with bol.com for pickup points.
In addition, following positive customer feedback, Albert Heijn Belgium will open 30 to 50 new supermarkets in Flanders over the next few years, while focusing on personal service, the group said.
