Ahold Delhaize: share buyback programme nearly completed
(CercleFinance.com) - Ahold Delhaize has nearly completed its share buyback programme for 2017, the Dutch food retailer said on Wednesday.
Last week, the group repurchased 1,229,230 of its common shares at an average price of 18.40 euros per share for a total consideration of 22.6 million euros.
These buybacks form part of the one-billion-euro share buyback program announced in December 2016.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 54,589,273 common shares, for a total consideration of 989 million euros.
