Altice Europe: sells towers to Blackstone
(CercleFinance.com) - Altice Europe, the European telecoms group owned by French billionaire Patrick Drahi, has sold 1,049 cellphone towers to Phoenix Tower, a division of Blackstone, for 170 million dollars.
At the same time, Altice has reached a 20-year agreement with the buyer, "setting a clear partnership framework" between the two companies, according to a statement published on Monday.
The sites are currently operated by Altice Dominicana. The transaction is expected to be closed in the third quarter, Altice said.
