Altice: plan to separate businesses
(CercleFinance.com) - Altice has announced that its Board of Directors has approved plans to separate Altice USA from Altice Europe, a transaction that it wants to finalise late in the second quarter of 2018, after obtaining the necessary authorisations.
The separation will enable each business to focus on distinct opportunities to create value in their respective markets and to ensure greater transparency for investors, Patrick Drahi's holding company explained.
The operation will pass by a split of Altice NV's 67.2% stake in Altice USA and a reorganisation of Altice Europe into three entities: France, International, and a new pay-TV subsidiary.
