FCA: forms task force to protect employees against virus
(CercleFinance.com) - Fiat Chrysler announced that, with US peers GM and Ford, it is forming a COVID-19/Coronavirus "task force" to implement enhanced protection for their manufacturing and warehouse employees.
The measures - that were taken with the United Auto Workers union - include enhanced visitor screening, increased cleaning and sanitizing of common areas and touch points, and implementing safety protocols for people with potential exposure, as well as those who show flu-like symptoms.
The joint task force's areas will also focus on vehicle production plans, additional social distancing, break and cleaning schedules, food service and any other areas that can potentially improve protection for employees.
