FCA: borrows 420 million euros from European Investment Bank
(CercleFinance.com) - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has secured a 420 million euro four-year loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support research and development (R&D) projects up to 2020, the car maker said on Wednesday.
FCA has a number of ongoing R&D programs, including electrification technology solutions for hybrid and battery electric vehicles and the development of autonomous driving, it said in the statement.
The R&D projects also include the development of digital technologies that will be deployed in manufacturing processes, the group added.
