FCA: still exploring separation of Magneti Marelli business
(CercleFinance.com) - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is continuing to review the potential separation of its auto parts unit Magneti Marelli, the carmaker said on Thursday.
The company's board plans an in-depth review of options relating to this transaction in the fourth quarter of 2018, while continuing to explore potential transaction structures, it said.
"There is no assurance that the review of the potential separation of Magneti Marelli will result in a final determination to enter into any such transaction," the group added.
FCA said it does not intend to make any further disclosures on the matter until a definitive decision is made.
