ASML: expects delays to deliveries after fire at supplier
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML expects some delays in deliveries at the start of 2019 in the wake of a fire that occurred at one of its suppliers of electronics components and modules.
The fire at its supplier Prodrive has destroyed part of its production capacity and inventory - ASML is helping the group to resume production, it said.
ASML expects no change in its 2018 planned shipments, but it will take several weeks to complete a detailed assessment of the impact, the company said.
However, the share did not seem to be hit by this news, and - in line with other bullish European stockmarkets - was benefiting from the optimistic mood regarding trade issues this morning. The stock is currently up 3.8%.
