ASML: shares climb after broker upgrade

(CercleFinance.com) - ASML shares are up on Tuesday, approaching fresh all-time highs, after Credit Suisse upgraded its rating on the Dutch semiconductor equipment maker.

The shares are currently up 1.4% at 154 euros, drawing closer to the 158 euros record price reached last November.

This morning Credit Suisse upgraded the stock from "neutral" to "outperform,"while raising its target price from 152 euros to 180 euros, saying the company is "at a growth inflection."

Extreme ultraviolet (EUV) chip technology has de-risked, Credit Suisse said, and ASML's growth is now about to go from growing below wafer fab equipment (WFE) market to above.

"Don't miss it," the broker recommended.

ASML will report its 2017 results tomorrow, Wednesday 17 January.
