Euronext: cash trading volumes up in February
(CercleFinance.com) - Yesterday evening, Euronext announced an increase in trading on its cash markets in February.
On all the group's “cash” equity, warrants, ETF and bond markets, average daily transaction volumes rose by 6.1% relative to February 2020.
However, sequentially, i.e. relative to January 2021, order volumes fell by 3.3%.
In value, the average daily volume reached around 9.8 billion euros, down 17.7% y-o-y, with February 2020 seeing frenzy in the financial markets due to the initial effects of the pandemic.
Sequentially, average daily volumes rose by 0.2% relative to January 2021.
